Come learn how to use the "brick stitch" to make a very cool embroidered
pouch. If you can count up to 6, you REALLY can do this yourself. The class will cover some of the pouches that can be found in museums, as well as materials used both in-period and when making reproductions. The class will also go into the types of image-motifs used on the pouches and how the pouches were closed. There will also be *cool hands-on* stuff so you will learn how to do brick stitch yourself, and thus will be able to go forth and make your own pouches. Pouch Kits" are available for $4 if you contact Miklos Farma @ miklos.farma@earthlink.net in advance to let him know you want one. Otherwise, please bring the following materials for the class: Also, a limited number of CDs will be available (5-9) with many of the patterns and images of existing pouches. The price for those will be $1 each, which pays for their cost. |
